Kids Say the Funniest Things!!

Just thought that I would share a few of my favorites with you guys.

The other day when my mom started home, Caleb said "Happy Trails"

Last night Connor was having his weekly bathroom issue. For those of you who know us well, you know that all Menard boys have "poop issues" Connor was running through the house yelling, "get this poop out of me." Caleb told him, "Connor, I am not a poop expert. Ask someone else."

One morning, I was trying to hurry Caleb out of the shower and he told me that he wasn't finished talking to himself. Lord only knows what he says.

While putting out the nativity set at Christmas, Caleb said "hey look there's the wisemen and the lepers."

When we took the boys for their first pictures, Caleb introduced Amber to the boys. He went on to tell her that the babies drank milk from his mom except when we are at the old farm house. Down there, we have a milk machine. (he was referring to my breast pump.)

During the same photo session, Amber tried to get Connor in a few shots. He told her, "No, I BATMAN!!" For those of you in Central Arkansas, this is the photo that is in the McAdoo ads. Connor was Batman for the first few months after the babies were born. He is now pleasant Connor.

Connor use to call Fire Trucks and Ambulances ha has. Not really sure why. It drove Caleb nuts. We were driving into Little Rock for dinner and Connor saw a fire truck. He started yelling ha ha. Caleb said, "No Connor. It is an EMERGENCY VEHICLE."

I could go on forever.

Jumpin' Jack

Jumpin Jack

Jack loves his jumparoo. He will jump as long as you let him. James thinks that its fun. The only thing that Jack would rather do than jump is eat. He actually has worn the toes out of one of his outfits. It is hysterical.

James and Jack

The boys had their six month check up. James weighed 15lbs and 15oz. He is 26 inches long. Jack weighed 17lbs and 3oz. He is 26.5 inches. They are getting so big. They roll everywhere. They are sitting up now. Well, they sit up and then fall over when they try to reach something. The really enjoy each other. They babble to each other and play with toys together. It is so much fun. They think that Caleb and Connor are hysterical. James has started fussing when I leave the room. Jack could careless. He is the happiest baby in the world. When James fusses, he looks at him like he is nuts. Another mom of mutliples told me that the first six months were awful, but then things are great. She was so right. The first five months were rough (not awful), but oh so worth it. We are BLESSED!!

Caleb's injury

Last night, the big boys (Caleb, Connor & Chris) were doing their usual wrestling. Chris chases them around the house. Caleb and Connor tackle each other...just the normal boy stuff. Anyway, when Caleb started to put on his pjs, he noticed a huge carpet burn on his belly. Of course, he freaked out. We had to put a cold wash cloth on it. He couldn't wear his shirt because it hurt. This went on forever. I finally convinced him to go to bed around ten. At 3:00, I heard something. I walked over to the other side of the house and found Caleb (still without his shirt) sitting on Connor's bed watching Scooby doo. Of course Connor is now up with him. I asked him what in the world he was doing. He said that his "injury" was hurting and he had to get a new wash cloth. So why was in Connor's room? He couldn't find his remote (I hid it in the kitchen junk drawer) and he wanted to watch a movie. So, he had to use Connor's tv. I was not very nice about his injury and told him that if he didn't get in his bed that I was going to injure his whinny hinny. He went to bed. When I got him up this morning, his carpet burn looked awful. I felt horrible because it probably did hurt during the night. Chris felt worse when I e-mailed him that Caleb would not be going to school because he looked like he had been beat. Never fear, he made a complete recovery just in time to spend the night with KayKay.

"I not eat pancakes!!"

Connor loves pancakes. We eat them just about every morning. This morning at 9:00, I fixed Connor pancakes. He sat down at the table and said (in his batman voice), "I not eat pancakes." I asked him to just eat a few bites. He pushed his plate across the table, looked at me and said, "I said, I not eat pancakes." I was fuming. I told him, you will not get out of that seat until you eat your pancakes. At 10:00, I warmed them up, but he just pushed the plate away. I had a showing scheduled for 12:00. So at 11:30, Connor finally got out of his seat...without eating one bite of pancakes. I don't know many 2 1/2 year olds that will sit at a table for over two hours, just to prove a point. I may have met my match.
